The Futures Initiative peer mentor program is a fantastic opportunity for students to get involved in initiatives aimed at developing diversity and social justice in higher education. Peer mentors help support students through their academic career in higher education by making students aware of campus resources and providing advice on how to solve problems that might arise during their academic journey.
During this process, peer mentors will develop skills in leadership, time management and problem solving all of which can be used in their future career. Students who complete the Futures Initiative Peer Mentoring Workshops will be able to facilitate peer mentoring program initiatives in their respective colleges.
All CUNY undergraduate students are welcome to apply
Applications are due on June 3, 2016, and Mentors will be notified of their selection by June 15.
