Academic Achievement Programs

A  student’s academic success never goes unnoticed. Colleges  provide many opportunities for students. Achievement programs are based on a student’s academic performance (e.g., GPA). Academic achievement programs can help students further their learning beyond the classroom, as well as building their resume. Most programs have a 3.0 GPA minimum, so it is important to earn good grades in your courses.

Fellowships

Fellowship Programs offers both undergraduate and graduate students with opportunities for professional development. Specific organizations or institutions will sponsor prestigious and merit-based fellowships. You are not limited to applying to regional fellowships-there are fellowships offered on a national and international scale.

Internships

Internships allows students to  receive supervised/ practical training in a specific career field. The duration of an internship is short-term, with the objective of having students gain job training.

Jobs

Jobs are paid positions that offers regular employment. Employment can be on a full-time or part-time basis. Jobs can not only help students gain extra cash for books or financial tuition, but many jobs can provide academic opportunities for students as well. Explore jobs that are offered at your campus. Having a job on campus are very beneficial for students to network with different resources on campus.

Scholarships

Scholarships are an awarded amount of  money given by an organization or university to a student. Scholarships can help students pay for their education. The criteria of a scholarship can be merit-based or based on the financial need of a student.

Research

Colleges provides students with many opportunities to gain research experience. Research experience is not only ideal or beneficial to students who want to pursue a career  in the social science or science field, research can be offered for many or all majors. Research allows students to do research with faculty members, network with experts in the field as well as gaining more knowledge and skills on research.
